Sa Talaia BTT

Sa Talaia BTT

Our itinerary starts in Sant Antoni towards Sant Josep, following the slopes of Puig des Frare and Sa Fontassa along beautiful tracks through interesting and varied landscapes.
After leaving Sant Antoni and before reaching Sant Josep, we will face the ascent of Sa Talaia but without finishing it, as we will take a detour to go through the Serra de Ses Roques Altes along a beautiful path that crosses the forest. We then descend steeply until we pass near Cala Vedella. In this area there is an interesting Punic-Roman settlement dating from the 5th century BC, known as Ses Païses de Cala d'Hort.

After this descent, we will go along a stretch of asphalt until we take a forest track that will take us down to Cala Molí, where we start to skirt the coast. Once we reach Platges de Comte, the landscape will change drastically and we will return to Sant Antoni following the coastline through an emblematic seascape of the western part of the island.

In short, this is a beautiful route that does not require a great technical level and that any amateur cyclist can tackle without any problem. It is highly recommended for starting to do small descents (the ones on this route are fast and very fun) and, above all, an ideal route for a day at the beach by bike, as in one day you will visit the beaches of Cala Molí, Cala Tarida, Cala Codolar, Platges de Comte, Cala Bassa and, of course, Sant Antoni.
