Seats on the flights will be reserved for the press, guests and volunteers, due to the capacity of the baskets. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the experience of watching the balloons take off and the Night Glow. The event is a display where you can enjoy the spectacular sight of various balloons in the air.
From 18 to 20 September, Ibiza will experience the magic of the Ibiza Balloon Festival for the second time – a free event that will transform the island’s sky into a canvas full of colours, lights and excitement. Over three days, residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy a unique visual spectacle bringing together various international hot-air balloon teams, combining spectacular sunrises, family-friendly activities and a grand closing party under the stars.
SCHEDULE
- 6:00 AM: Briefing to determine the exact launch site and announcement on social media
- 7:00 AM: Balloon setup and inflation
- 7:45 AM – 8:30 AM: Group flight at sunrise
Every morning, from 6.00 am, the pilots will hold a briefing to determine the exact launch point based on the wind and weather conditions. From 7.00 am, the balloons will be assembled and inflated – a moment specially arranged so that the public can come and enjoy the process. Between 7.45 am and 8.30 am, the group flight will take place at sunrise, before the balloons land and the equipment is packed away.
The highlight of the festival will take place on Saturday 19th in the late afternoon and evening with the eagerly awaited Ibiza Night Glow.
Featuring pilots with extensive international experience, the Ibiza Balloon Festival has been created with the aim of growing and establishing itself as a leading annual event, one that not only attracts visitors from all over the world, but also strengthens local identity and community pride. All this is underpinned by a firm commitment to safety and sustainability, whilst respecting the island’s natural environment.
An event designed to be enjoyed with family or friends, to discover Ibiza from a unique perspective and to be swept away by the thrill of seeing the Pitiusan sky bathed in colour.
